Lots and lots of activity in the Hijos-basecamp. Writing, jamming, experimenting, jamming again, trying to recreate the jamming, compromising, refining, laughing and so on. Drinking beer, also. You'll still have to wait for several months to know what this all results in tho...

17-11-2008: Benifit Night for Bosnia and Herzegovina Youth Culture

On saturday december 20 we'll pay on a special Benefit Night at the Dynamo club. Some local friends went back to their homeland Bosnia and Herzegovina to work for POP, an organisation that promotes and facilitates multi-ethnic cultural activities (supporting bands, building youth cultural centres etc). So come and see us and do some good at the same time!

18-09-2008: Two gigs

We were hoping to be back on stage near the end of summer, but we didn't make it: september 27 it will be. That's only 6 days into autumn, so we're not that far off.

Our rehearsalcentre PopEi moved to the awesome Strijp-S location and they're celebrating it with two days of fine music. We'll play on saturday. Showtime is nine o'clock, entrance is free.

On october 5th we'll play the ElectroCity Party at Cafe St. Joris in Eindhoven. More news on that to follow...

20-05-2008: New Drummer

Finally we found a new drummer! Ivo has come to join us. He used to play drums in Red King Rising and the Ghouls.

We hope to be on some stage near the end of summer. See ya there!

29-01-2008: Good Times, Bad Times

We've got some good news and some bad news.

The good news is that we've got a new mini-EP available for download on our music-page. Recorded on a 4-Track Tape-recorder in january 2008, mixed by our own Chris. Go on, download and enjoy!

The bad news is that Joost decided to stop, so we're looking for a new drummer. It is still unsure when we'll be back, but you can bet your ass that we'll return with some smokin' grooves.

25-08-2007: Writing new songs

We're currently writing new songs with our leading lady Boukje. You can hear them at sept 21,
when we play at Cafe Altstadt (Eindhoven). See our Tour-page for more details.

08-06-2007: Edit-festival on sunday

Next sunday we'll play at the Edit-festival in Eindhoven. Edit is a two day festival of music, design, art, movies, poetry and ..eh... beer! We'll play at 20:30h. Other bands include: 69 Charger, Sweet Assembler, Denvis & the Real Deal, Sugarettes, Viva la Bestia and Deadcell. (More info)

26-03-2007: We don't need another Hijo?

Yes we do!
Boukje is our new singer, and she kicks ass. Your ass, that is. She used to sing in Moral Anxiety and GodsChosenDealer and now she's gonna freak out to our tunes.



16-03-2007: Mini-album almost ready

Our first mini-album is about to be ready. 5 songs, 27 minutes. Drums guitars bass sinas-genarator vibrafoon walkie-talkie piano noises. And overdrive when needed, which is almost all of the time of course.



23-01-2007: New Hijo in the family

We're glad to tell you Hermann Blaupunkt (Cone, ex-Lupu Negru) has joined us to bring samples, noises and guitar to our sound. Next saturday he'll play his first Hijos-gig in Asschaffenburg.

14-11-2006: Gigs - Album

New gigs: On december 9 we'll play at a Psychedelic Party, with Sweet Assembler and Arr at Burgers in Eindhoven.

The gig with My Sleeping Karma and Oceana Company in Aschaffenburg, Germany has been rescheduled to the 13th of january.

We'll hit the studio on november 20 for 5 days to record a mini-album. It is scheduled for release in the beginning of 2007.
